QUICK AND EASY CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. butter (soft)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg, beaten
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat together brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter, vanilla and egg in large bowl. In small bowl mix flour, baking soda and salt. Stir into butter mixture. Stir in chocolate pieces and walnuts if desired.

Drop batter by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in 375 degree oven for 10-15 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool on rack.
