JACQUI'S FLUMMERY | |
3 tsp jelly (Jell-O) any flavor or flavorless gelatine 1 1/2 cups cream 1/2 cup sugar Note: If using flavorless gelatine add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence or chocolate powder for flavor. Can also add fresh berries to fruit flummeries! Note to those on special diets: This is an easy-as recipe which can be low fat if you choose to substitute low-fat dairy products. Half milk and half cream may be substituted for the cream. Low calorie sweeteners may be used instead of the sugar. The flummery has a light, sweet, thick, mousse-like texture. You can also add berries for a more formal dessert. Put water on and bring to a gentle boil; dissolve gelatine. Once completely dissolved, remove and cool to room temperature (10-15 minutes). Mix together remaining ingredients. Once gelatine mix is cooled, add the creamy mix to it. Whisk or blend until light and filled with small bubbles (10-15 minutes by hand). Pour into moulds, bowls or a larger container and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours. Serve chilled. Submitted by: Jacqui Wiskar |
