SHERILYN'S FRIED VEGGIES | |
1 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. baking powder 3/4 c. milk 1 tbsp. melted butter 1 egg Dash pepper Veggie of choice: 6 onions cut in 1/4 inch slices and separated into rings, or okra, or broccoli, or mushrooms, even good on chicken Combine flour, salt, baking powder, pepper, egg, butter and milk. Mix well. Batter will be thick. Coat onion rings well in batter. Drop into preheated deep oil (400 degrees). Fry until golden brown, turning once. Drain well on paper towel. Serve hot. |
