CARAMEL CORN 
7 1/2 qt. popped corn
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. corn starch
2 sticks butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda

Make a syrup with the sugar, corn syrup, butter and salt. Boil for 5 minutes over moderate heat. Remove from heat and add vanilla and soda. Stir well and pour over popped corn. Divide corn into three 9 by 12 inch pans or a large roaster. Bake in 200 degree oven for 1 hour. Stir occasionally when baking and until the corn is cooled.
