SWEET POTATO-APPLE CASSEROLE 
1 lb. can sweet potatoes
2 med. size tart apples
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp. mace
1/2 c. pineapple juice

Slice sweet potatoes in half lengthwise. Pare and core apples; cut into 1/4 inch slices. Alternate layers of sweet potatoes and apples in shallow baking dish. Melt butter. Add brown sugar, mace, and pineapple juice. Pour over potatoes and apples. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees (moderate oven) for 1 hour. Baste occasionally. Serves 6.
