1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, room temperature
2 sticks (1/2 lb.) soft butter
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour

Cream butter (oleo), cream cheese and sugar together. Add remaining ingredients. Flour hands a little and roll dough into small balls. Press slightly with fork. Bake at 375 degrees for about 12 minutes. Can tint with food coloring for special holidays.
