CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. butterscotch chips
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl with mixer at medium speed, cream butter with sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla until well mixed, ocasionally scraping bowl. Stir in flour, salt and baking soda until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips and butterscotch chips and oatmeal and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto cookie sheets.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes until cookies are lightly browned. Immediately remove cookies to wire racks; cool.
