FEATHERY FUDGE CAKE 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 sqs. (3 oz.) unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
1 1/4 c. cold water

Set oven at 350 degrees. Grease and lightly flour two 9 x 1 1/2 inch round baking pans. Combine the first 3 ingredients. In a mixer bowl, beat butter on medium speed of electric mixer about 30 seconds. Add sugar and vanilla and beat until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, beating 1 minute after each.

Beat in cooled chocolate. Add dry ingredients and cold water alternately to beaten mixture, beating after each addition. Pour into pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until done. Cool 10 minutes on wire racks. Remove from pans. Cool.
