COUNTRY SAUSAGE AND AU GRATIN POTATOES | |
1 lb. Hillshire Farms Sausage, cut into 1/2" slices 1 lg. onion, cut up 1 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 pkg. Betty Crocker Au Gratin Potatoes 2 1/2 c. hot water 1/4 tsp. pepper 4 med. carrots, cut in 2" long strips 1 sm. pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed & drained 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese In 10" or 12" skillet, cook and stir sausage and onion in oil. Cook until onion is tender. Stir in potatoes, sauce mix, water and pepper. Heat to boiling; reduce heat; cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes. Stir in carrot strips, cover and simmer until carrots and potatoes are tender. Stir in broccoli and cheese; cover and cook until tender and cheese is melted. (Carrots and broccoli may be parboiled before adding to potatoes.) |
