PRUNE CAKE 
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. quick or old fashion oatmeal, uncooked
1 c. cut up dried prunes
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon

Pour boiling water over oats and prunes, stirring. Let stand 20 minutes. Beat butter, add both sugars beating until fluffy. Stir in egg and oat mixture. Sift together dry ingredients and beat. Grease 9" square pan and pour in mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

FROSTING:

2 tbsp. butter
2 1/4 c. sifted 10X sugar
3 tbsp. milk

Add vanilla and beat well.
