PRUNE CAKE 
1 can Jr. baby food prunes
1 c. oil
1 1/2 c. sugar

Cream and add 2 well beaten eggs. Sift together 2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and salt. Add dry ingredients with 1 cup buttermilk and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

FROSTING FOR PRUNE CAKE:

1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. butter

Cook and stir until soft ball stage, then stir 3 or 4 minutes after removing from stove. Pour over cake while hot.
