FIESTA SPREAD 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. cumin
2 tbsp. ketchup
1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
Liquid hot peppers
2 oz. grated sharp Cheddar (about 1/2 c.)
Stuffed olives, optional
Ritz crackers

Brown beef with first three ingredients. Drain excess fat and add next 4 ingredients. Mash in beans and heat, stirring frequently. Add hot pepper liquid. Garnish with cheese and add olives if desired. Serve warm with crackers. Makes about 3 1/2 cups.
