BEER BREAD | |
3 c. self-rising flour 1 can (12 oz.) beer 3 tbsp. sugar Mix all ingredients and put IMMEDIATELY into greased loaf pan. Place in a PREHEATED 375 F. oven and bake 50-55 minutes. The loaf rises quickly because of the beer and smells a little strange while baking. The loaf looks rough like dropped biscuits but the texture of the bread is hearty, unusual, and especially delicious sliced and toasted. This bread freezes well. |
