GOLDEN ONION CASSEROLE 
6 med. white onions, sliced
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. chicken bouillon grains
3/4 lb. Swiss cheese, shredded
4 tbsp. melted butter
3/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1/4 c. cooking sherry
1 sm. loaf French bread, cut into 1/2 inch slices

1. Saute onions in 1/2 cup butter. Transfer to 2 quart shallow baking dish.

2. Melt 4 teaspoons butter. Add 1/4 cup flour and mix with whisk. Add salt, milk, pepper, bouillon.

3. Add cooking sherry. Pour over onions

4. Top with shredded cheese, then bread rounds which have been dipped into melted butter.

5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until bread is brown.
