2 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar and butter in mixing bowl, add water, stirring well. Sift flour, cocoa, soda, and salt together. Stir into sugar mixture. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Blend thoroughly. Pour into greased 9x12 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
