QUICK CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES | |
2 sticks butter 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 8 - 12 oz. chocolate chips 1 c. chopped nuts (optional 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt Add sugar, egg and vanilla to softened butter. (I microwave my butter when I decide to make these on the spur of the moment!) Beat until fluffy. Measure dry ingredients together into a large measuring cup and stir to blend. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture and stir with spoon until well mixed. Add chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 8 to 10 minutes. If you like them crispy, leave in until browned. But if you like them chewy, take them out just as they start to brown. This recipe is great for making jumbo - sized cookies, too! |
