CHOW MEIN 
2 c. onions, sliced
2 c. celery, sliced
1 can bean sprouts, drained & rinsed
1 lb. slivered pork or chicken
1 sm. can mushrooms, sliced
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
1 c. stock
Fresh ginger root

Fry slivered meat in oil. Saute onions in oil; add to meat. Repeat for celery. Saute mushrooms in butter and add to mixture. Add bean sprouts. Bring stock to boil with a few slices ginger root. Simmer a bit. Mix: 2 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. cornstarch

Add this to stock. Mix all together. Serve over chow mein noodles or rice.
