SPLIT PEA SOUP 
1 lb. bag green split peas
1 onion, diced
1 carrot, diced
1 clove garlic
2 sliced sections of smoked ham, diced
1/2 c. white wine
1/4 c. sour cream

Cook split peas in two quarts water with onion, carrot, and garlic. When cooked, place in blender to puree. Place back in pot over low heat. Add ham, white wine and sour cream. Serve with croutons.
