CHRISTMAS DIVINITY 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
2 egg whites
3/4 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. candied cherries
1 tsp. vanilla

Stir sugar, corn syrup and water over heat until dissolved. Cook without stirring until mixture reaches light crack stage 270 degrees. Pour syrup over egg whites, beaten stiff. Beat constantly until mixture holds its shape. Add nuts, cherries (if desired) and vanilla.

Drop from teaspoon onto buttered sheet. Garnish with candied cherries.
