SPICY SIX WEEKS BRAN MUFFINS 
1 box (15 oz.) Raisin Bran cereal
2 c. white sugar
1 c brown sugar
5 c. white flour, can substitute 1 c. whole wheat
5 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. mace (or increase nutmeg)
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ginger

Mix well together in large bowl or kettle. Combine with: 1 qt. buttermilk 1 c. salad oil 2 tsp. vanilla

Optional additions: 1 cup applesauce, 1/2 cup grape nuts, wheat germ and/or chopped nuts.

Keep mixture covered in refrigerator up to 6 weeks. Use as needed. I make 1 dozen and store the rest in a 2 quart container. Grease muffin tins. Bake at 400 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes. Yield: 44 to 48.
