CHOCOLATE-CHERRY BARS 
1 pkg. devil's food cake mix
21 oz. can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 beaten eggs

Grease a 15x10 inch jelly roll pan. Mix all ingredients by hand until well mixed. (Do not use an electric mixer.) Spread mixture evenly in the pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Mix sugar, butter and milk and boil together 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips. Pour over warm cake. Or you can use any of your favorite chocolate or white frosting mixes. The vanilla-sour cream frosting mix goes well with this recipe.
