FROZEN DUTCH APPLE ROLL 
6 apples
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk

Pare apples. Quarter and cut in small slices. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Cut in shortening. Add milk. Stir until evenly moistened. Roll 1/4" thick. Sprinkle apples over, add sprinkles of sugar and cinnamon. Roll up as jelly roll. Wrap well in foil and freeze until wanted to use.

When ready to bake cut in slices. Arrange on baking sheet and pour over the syrup below, bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.

SYRUP:

2 c. sugar
2 c. water
1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Dissolve water and sugar, add butter, boil a few minutes. Add cinnamon and boil until slightly thicker.
