TORTILLAS 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 to 3/4 c. lard
Warm water

Combine all dry ingredients. Add warm water. Dough should be moist but stiff enough to hold shape. Divide into balls and flatten out to thin round cake. Place dough on a hot ungreased griddle. Cook until edges begin to curl and they are slightly brown. Turn to other side; cook until puffs appear. Keep warm under dampened cloth and foil in warm oven.
