ENGLISH TRIFLE 
1 lg. angel food cake, torn in pieces
1 (6 oz.) box vanilla pudding (instant or regular) prepared according to instructions
1 pt. whipping cream, whipped
1 or 2 tsp. almond flavoring, according to taste
1 1/2 to 2 c. strawberry jam (can mix some fresh or frozen strawberries into jam, too.)
3 tbsp. sherry
4 oz. slivered almonds

Place a layer of cake in bottom of deep glass bowl. Follow with layer of pudding mixed with almond flavoring. Next place layer of strawberries and jam mixed with sherry. Sprinkle a few almonds on top and repeat layers ending with whip cream. Sprinkle rest of almonds on top.

Looks beautiful in pretty bowl.
