HARVEST BREAD 
1 1/2 c. finely chopped apple
1/4 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Cream together butter and sugar, until light and fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. Sift together flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture. Stir in apples, cheese and nuts. Turn into greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan; then remove loaf from pan and cool on rack.
