SWEET PICKLED PEACHES 
1 c. vinegar
2 c. water
8 c. sugar
3 tsp. cloves & allspice
2 sticks cinnamon
8 lbs. peaches (clingstone are best)

Combine vinegar, water, sugar and spices; bring to a boil. Drop in whole fresh peaches which have been peeled. Simmer peaches in syrup about 5 minutes then pack in hot, sterilized jars and pour syrup over them. Seal. Makes 6 to 8 pints.
