3 c. flour
3 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
6 lg. eggs
1/2 lb. softened butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. milk
3 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. any other flavoring, such as almond, lemon, etc.
Add vanilla plus other flavoring

Grease and flour tube pan. Preheat oven 325 degrees.

Mix everything together and beat for 5 1/2 minutes in large bowl. Bake 1 hour 20 minutes. Secret to successful cake, all ingredients room temperature. Beat cake for full 5 1/2 minutes.
