4 c. sugar 1/4 lb. butter 1 (12 fl. oz.) can evaporated milk 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces 1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow creme 1 c. chopped nuts, optional Melt butter in heavy 2 quart saucepan; stir in milk and sugar. Bring to full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Continue boiling over medium heat until mixture reaches soft ball stage, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate pieces until melted. Add marshmallow creme and nuts, stirring until well blended. Pour into greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Cool at room temperature; cut into squares. Makes about 3 pounds. |
