NEVER FAIL FUDGE | |
5 c. sugar 1 slab butter 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk 1 1/2 jars (7 oz.) marshmallow fluff 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 (12 oz.) pkgs. chocolate bits (vanilla bits, peanut butter bits, or butterscotch bits -optional - to make different fudges) Combine first 5 ingredients. Stir over low heat until blended. Bring to a boil over moderate heat, being careful not to mistake air bubbles for boiling. Then boil slowly, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate bits and vanilla, stirring until chocolate is melted. Then turn into buttered two 9 x 9 inch pans and cool. (This is a double recipe.) |
