MEXICALI CRACKER JACKS 
1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white corn syrup
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
6 qts. popped corn

Melt butter, stir in syrup, sugar and bring to boil. Broil 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add soda, vanilla and pour over the popped corn. Stir well. Bake on a cookie sheet at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Let cool, break apart.
