CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter, room temperature
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
3 c. flour (plain)
5 eggs, room temperature
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
4 heaping tbsp. cocoa
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla

Sift dry ingredients (including cocoa). Cream butter and Crisco. Add sugar. Add eggs (one at a time). Blend well. Mix milk and vanilla. Alternate milk mixture with flour and cocoa mixture. Mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes (in light pound cake pan).
