E Z YEAST ROLLS 
1/4 c. shortening or 1/2 stick butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 beaten egg
1 pkg. dry yeast
3 c. flour

Melt shortening; add sugar, salt and milk. Heat until mixture is warm. When slightly cooled, add the egg and flour which has been mixed with the yeast. Cover and set aside to rise in warm place. When doubled in size, knead down in bowl and let rise again. When doubled in size again, turn out onto a floured board and knead again. Cut into rolls and place on greased baking sheet to rise again.

Bake at 450°F about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot with butter. Variation: Add 1 tablespoon anise to dough mixture or add 1 tablespoon dill weed to dough mixture.
