WINTERFEST FRUIT SOUP 
1/4 c. quick cooking tapioca
5 1/2 c. water
1 (8 oz.) pkg. dried mixed fruit
1 c. (6 oz. pkg.) dried apricots
1/2 c. dark raisins
3 cinnamon sticks
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. currant jelly
1 med. size orange, thinly sliced
Whole cloves

1. Combine tapioca and 1 cup water in small bowl. Let stand 10 minutes.

2. Combine mixed fruit, apricots, raisins, cinnamon sticks and 3 cups water in 3 quart saucepan. Bring to boiling. Lower heat; cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fruit is tender.

3. Stir in remaining 1 1/2 cups water, sugar, currant jelly and tapioca mixture. Bring to boiling. Lower heat and simmer until tapioca is tender and flavors are blended, about 5 to 10 minutes.

4. Discard cinnamon sticks. Transfer soup to serving bowl. Garnish with orange slices studded with whole cloves. Serve warm.
