HOMEMADE BISCUITS 
3 c. flour (self rising)
2 tbsp. shortening (rounded up)

Add enough water (or milk) to make a stiff dough. Stir well. Turn out on floured surface. Pinch off biscuits or cut them out with a round cutter. Bake in 350 degree oven until golden brown.
