HEARTY HAMBURGER SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef
2 cans beef broth soup
3 c. water
1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes, cut up
2 med. onions, chopped (1 c.)
2 med. carrots, sliced (1 c.)
2 stalks celery, chopped (1 c.)
1/3 c. pearl barley
1/4 c. catsup
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dried basil
1 bay leaf
Salt and pepper to taste

Brown beef in large saucepan, stirring slightly to break up larger pieces. Drain off excess fat. Add water, undrained tomatoes, onion, carrot, celery, barley, catsup, salt, canned soup and bay leaf. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1 hour or until vegetables are tender. Season to taste and remove bay leaf. Don't let the name fool you, this is tasty!
