SAUSAGE SOUP | |
1 1/2 lbs. Italian sausage (the good kind) 3 med. green peppers, cut in 1/2 inch strips 2 med. onions, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced (I use 2 or 3) 2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 4 to 5 chicken bouillon cubes 3 c. bow-tie noodles (a must) In large pot, cook sausage, remove. Cut in small pieces in drippings; over medium heat add peppers, onions and garlic, cook until tender. Add tomatoes, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, a dash of hot sauce and heat until hot. Add bow ties, simmer 20 minutes. Add water if needed. It's not a soup really. |
