SOUTHERN PECAN PIE 
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 c. chopped pecans
Pastry for 1 crust pie, fit into 9 inch pie pan

Cream butter and brown sugar well. Blend in corn syrup and vanilla. Add eggs, slightly beaten, and pecans. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
