SOUTHERN PECAN PIE 
1 c. white Karo syrup
1 1/2 c. white sugar
4 eggs
1 c. chopped pecans
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. butter
1 pie shell, frozen

Mix together all ingredients except nuts. Put the nuts in an unbaked pastry shell. Pour other mixture into pie shell, covering nuts.

Bake in hot oven at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees for about 40 minutes, or until pie is set.

(Above recipe fills two 9 inch pie shells. Add an additional cup of nuts if you like it full of nuts).
