PAN ROLLS 
1 cake yeast
1 c. warm water
1 c. milk
6 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. flour
1 egg
4 c. flour approximately

Dissolve yeast in water. Scald milk then add sugar, salt and shortening. Let it cool enough to add yeast, water and 1 egg slightly beaten. Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Let rise work down. Shape into rolls place in greased pans. Let rise again. Bake 20 minutes at 425 degrees.
