RED RICE | |
3/4 c. diced onions (green) 1 1/2 c. cooked ham (finely chopped) 2 tbsp. bacon drippings 1 pkg. Italian Good Seasons salad dressing mix 1 can stewed tomatoes 1 c. diced green bell pepper 2 c. uncooked reg. rice 2 beef bouillon cubes 1 1/2 c. boiling water Boil bouillon cubes in boiling water. Saute onions and green pepper in a Dutch oven until tender. Stir in ham, cook over medium heat about 3-4 minutes. Add tomato, beef bouillon, teaspoon of Lawry's seasoned salt, bacon drippings and package of Good Seasons salad dressing mix. Stir well, bring to boil, add rice, cook until tender. |
