PONATA - EASTER BREAD 
5 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 stick (1/2 c.) butter
1/2 c. milk
1 c. raisins (optional)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 pkg. yeast
1 tsp. orange rind
1 tsp. salt

Heat milk to scalding point. Dissolve yeast in small amount of hot water (see directions on yeast package). Mix all dry ingredients together. Melt butter in milk after it is heated. Beat eggs in this. Add to dry mixture along with the yeast. Knead it like bread. Add a small amount of flour if needed. Let rise until double. Push it down and let it rise again. Make dough into 2 round loaves. Let rise until double. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Enjoy.
