1 c. butter
2 eggs, unbeaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. nuts, chopped
1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift all dry ingredients together in a bowl. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, then flour mixture, nuts and vanilla. Roll and chill for 2 hours. Cut and bake on ungreased cookie sheet.
