APPLE DUMPLINGS 
4 med. or lg. apples
1 c. sugar
2 c. water
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Bring sugar, water, butter and cinnamon to hard boil about 3 minutes. Core apples and peel skin off of apples. Make a double pie crust if large apples, single pie crust for small or medium apples.

Take 1/4 of dough and roll out and place apples in middle of the dough and fill core of apple half with sugar and cinnamon to taste. Fold up and pinch together. Place in baking dish. Pour sauce over apples and bake 40 to 45 minutes (425 degrees).
