TOLL HOUSE OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. shortening
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. water
2 c. oatmeal

Combine flour, soda, and salt; set aside. Blend shortening, sugars, vanilla and water. Beat in eggs. Add flour mixture and mix well. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 10-12 minutes.
