TOLL HOUSE OATMEAL COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter or shortening
6 tbsp. granulated sugar
6 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. water
1 egg
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. oatmeal
1 sm. pkg. chocolate bits

Blend butter, sugars, vanilla and water. Beat in egg. Add flour, soda, and salt. Stir in oatmeal and chocolate bits. Drop by 1/2 teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
