ORIGINAL TOLL HOUSE COOKIES | |
2 1/4 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. softened butter or shortening 3/4 c. granulated sugar 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. water 2 eggs 1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) semi sweet real chocolate morsels 1 c. coarsely chopped nuts Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. Combine butter or shortening, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and water. Beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Add flour mixture, mix well. Stir in chocolate bits and nuts. Drop by rounded 1/2 teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. |
