SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 pt. sour cream

TOPPING:

4 tbsp. soft butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream sugar, butter and vanilla. Add eggs singly, beat well after each. Sift flour, baking soda and baking powder. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Blend well, spread 1/2 of batter in bottom of greased 10 inch tube pan.

Cream butter, brown sugar and cinnamon together. Add nuts and mix well. Put 1/2 of this mixture in tube pan and cover with the rest of the batter. Top with the rest of mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes to 1 hour. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Serves 10-11.

This coffee cake we serve on Christmas morning after we have opened the Christmas stockings from Santa. It is good anytime!
