JANE'S SOUR CREAM STREUSEL
COFFEE CAKE
 
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sour cream

Grease and flour two loaf pans. Beat sugar, eggs, butter and vanilla. Sift flour, powder, soda and salt. Beat in slowly, alternating with sour cream.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Pour 1/4 of batter into each pan and sprinkle with 1/4 of topping. Repeat using remaining batter and topping. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Let cool slightly and top with glaze.

GLAZE:

2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. milk

Melt butter and combine with other ingredients. Mix well and spread over warm coffee cake.
