GOLDEN CRUNCH CAKE | |
2 c. fine vanilla wafer crumbs 1 c. finely chopped pecans 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 c. butter 1 pkg. butter recipe golden cake mix (Duncan Hines) 3 lg. eggs 1 stick butter, softened 2/3 c. water Combine wafer crumbs, pecans and sugar in bowl. Add 1/4 cup butter and cut into mixture until crumbly. Divide mixture into 2 loaf pans, 9"x5"x3". Press on bottom and sides. Combine dry cake mix, eggs, 1/2 cup butter and water in bowl. Mix cake as directed on package. Divide batter evenly into the pans. Bake 50 to 60 minutes at 350 degrees or until done. Cool 5 minutes and remove from pans. Serves about 20. |
