THE BEST BROWNIES 
1/2 c. veg. oil or butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/3 c. Hershey's cocoa
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts, opt.

Blend oil, sugar and vanilla in mixing bowl. Add eggs, beat well with spoon. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to egg mixture until well blended. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased 9 inch square pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from edges of pan. Cool in pan. Frost if desired; cut into squares. Makes 16 brownies.
